Artist Statement
My work explores the intersection of abstraction and emotional resonance, employing a palette that oscillates between muted tones and vibrant contrasts. Through the use of acrylics and mixed media, I construct compositions that invite the viewer into a dialogue with the canvas. The abstract forms are not random; they are carefully curated to evoke a sense of rhythm and balance, often suggesting landscapes or the chaotic beauty of natural phenomena without directly depicting them. Color plays a pivotal role in my narrative. I use it to manipulate mood and perception, introducing bright, saturated colors amidst more subdued backgrounds to guide the eye and stir emotions. This technique reflects my belief in the power of color to communicate beyond the visual, touching on the psychological and emotional states of both the creator and the observer. My approach to composition involves a dynamic interplay between chaos and control. In these works, one can observe the influence of expressive abstraction, where the process of creation is as significant as the final artwork. The visible brushwork and the blending of colors are not just techniques but are integral to the storytelling of each piece. They speak to themes of transformation, the passage of time, and the complexity of human emotion. Through this body of work, I aim to engage the viewer in a personal reflection, where each individual might see something different, something of themselves, within the abstracted forms and vivid color schemes. This is not just art to look at; it's art to feel, to experience, and to interpret uniquely
